DouDouLe Latin Dance Camp was founded in 2008 by Jean-Luc Lambs , who is also the Organiser for Brisbane’s Number One Latin Club “Casablanca Sunday Salsa Seduction“. Jean-Luc is also the Official MC to many Latin Parties, Festivals, Congresses and Concerts around Australia and has built himself a reputation for being partly involved in bringing the Latin Community together in his home town Brisbane.

DouDouLe Latin Dance Camp is designed to bring all Latin Dancers from different schools and cities under one roof, in a different setting and environment to your dance halls. A relaxed, holiday enviroment makes this latin dance event one of its kind and its right on the beaches of the famous Gold Coast. His ideas of everyone together under one roof is to bring unity and love and also bring Dancers closer together by sharing more personal time together and the passion that everybody brings with them, which is their passion for latin dance.

All schools, all dancers together, sharing knowledge, friendships, laughs and touching memories to take home with them. This is what dance is all about: bringing people together!

The camp site is situated at the beautiful beaches of Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast and can accommodate 500+ people. The cabins are very large and can accommodate up to 7 people in a cabin. Each cabin has its own en suite.

You wont have to bring sheets, blankets or pillows for the camp. It is all provided in the cabins.

The Camp has its own kitchen and dining area that looks very modern and is always kept to a top quality of cleanliness. The food is cooked by some awesome cooks and you will be served some mouth-watering meals. Meals include breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper.

The workshops will be conducted on the Saturday by some of the best dancers and instructors in Australia and France. Workshops will cater for all levels of dancers, from beginners to intermediate/advanced!

If you don’t wish to do a workshop during the day, you can take advantage of the beaches on your doorstep, but please always swim in between the flags. I will be strict on this as I don’t want anyone’s holiday finishing in disaster. You can also play some soccer on the beach.

Those flying from interstate, the closest airport to the camp is the Gold Coast Airport and the drive by taxi is only 10 minutes.

The camp starts from 3pm Friday the 7th of May and finishes at 3pm Sunday the 9th of May.

Things to bring: Toiletries, clothes for the 3 day and 2 nights (including a jumper in case it’s cold at night), a costume for the Saturday night party with the theme being “Pirates of the Carribean”, dancing shoes, swimmers and sun tan lotion. That’s it! Everything else will be provided for.

Also bring extra cash for: the masseuse if you wish to be pampered; dance shoes; dance wear; and private lessons with any artists.

Note: If you do take medication or have any other personal requirements, don’t forget to add that to your packing list.

DouDouLe Latin Dance Camp will provide: accommodation (cabins), all meals, linen (i.e. sheets, blanket, pillow and a towel)
