DJ Roberto (QLD)

Roberto Paul (Born in Mauritius) is not only one of the most highly sought after DJs in the Australian Latin Scene, he is also an Inspirational Salsa Instructor/Performer and Choreographer and has earnt his name as the “The Prince of Mambo”.

His passion for DJing started in 1999, in the lively city of London where the Scene is Electric. Since then Roberto has gained great recognition as one of the most popular & exhilirating DJs and Dancer on the Brisbane Latin Scene. His Amazing talent for reading and entertaining the crowds can regularly be heard and seen at Major Latin Clubs and Latin Events in and around Brisbane, especially at the Famous Sunday Salsa Seduction Nights held at Casablanca, Caxton st Brisbane.

His Enthusiasm and Energy as a DJ has got him spots as a DJ at the Sydney Salsa Congress 2008/2009/2010, Brisbane Latin Dance and Brazilian Dance Congress 2008 & 2009, Australian Latin Dance Festival and the Australian Salsa Classics 2008, DouDouLe Latin Dance Camp 2008 & 2009, just to name a few.

His Talents as a DJ and a Dancer/Instructor will be seen again at DouDouLe Latin Dance Camp 2010.

DJ Rumbero (QLD)

DJ Rumbero has been DJ-ing in Brisbane since June 2007 and his reputation as one of Brisbane’s most popular DJ’s has rapidly grown since then. He is a talented choice for many high profile Salsa and Zouk events in Brisbane including DouDoule Latin Dance Camp April 2008 & 2009, Brisbane Latin Dance and Brazilian Dance Congress June 2008, Queensland State Salsa Titles July 2008, Brisbane October Fest 2008, and Bravo Latin Events Pre-Congress Party January 2009 & 2010.

DJ Rumbero is the creator of and resident DJ at the ever-so popular Saturday night Zouk/Salsa Club 50/50 and SOS (Salsa on Saturday) parties, a regular DJ at Southbank on Friday nights and the co-founder and co-DJ at Casablanca’s Thursday nights “Latin Up”. He is also a performer and choreographer and creator of the SOS Dance Troupe.

DJ Rumbero’s musical flexibility and ability to play to any crowd keeps the dance floor busy no matter what style or level of dancers he is playing to. He has been highly praised by Superstars such as Super Mario, Edie the Salsa Freak, Alex Da Silva and Zouk masters Claudio Gomes and Mafie Zouker who have all been inspired by his music. He prides himself on his highly sought after repertoire of Salsa, Zouk and Bachata and his passionate approach and unique style is the key to his success and a contributing factor to the changing style of Latin music played in Brisbane.

DJ Mambonito (QLD)

MAMBONiTO has become one of Brisbane’s finest Latin dance DJ’s since debuting in mid-2007. Whilst his preference is, as his name suggests inclined to Mambo, his passion for Latin music actually started with traditional South American & Afro-Cuban rhythms. Among his influences he sites DJ’s: Twist, Duste, Latin Flava, Roberto, and Mambo G among others who’ve provided much inspiration for him along the way.

Nowadays MAMBONiTO features regularly @ prominent Latin dance parties around Brisbane, having forged continuing collaborations with almost all of Latin & Brazilian dance events. Nationally he has headlined @ Byron Bay, DouDouLe Latin Camp 2008 & 2009, Sydney Salsa Congress 2010, Caliente Latin Fiesta, QLD State Salsa Titles, Aust. Salsa Classic, Salsa Palladium, Sydney’s famous: Pump House and Sunday Salsa Seduction at the Authentic Latin Club “Casablanca”

On top of being a lead promoter of the Brisbane Salsa scene – he is also the co-creator & resident DJ of “SALSAMBO Productions”, one of Brisbane’s hottest Latin-mix parties – held Thursday nights @ Fringe BAR (Fortitude Valley).

So in 2009, as a DJ, dancer, dance instructor, ambassador, event organiser, & budding Latin percussionist, MAMBONiTO notes like many, that he can barely remember his life before Salsa and definitely can’t see his life continuing without it!

He strives to be among the best of the best at what he does, and looks forward to seeing you at this years Doudou’le Latin Dance Camp 2010!

DJ Helios (QLD)

Helios is a DJ, Salsero and Promoter based on the Sunshine Coast. He DJ’s regularly at all of Brisbane’s highlight events, including Brisbane’s premier Salsa spot Casablanca, Latin Up, the 50/50 Party’s, SOS Party’s and special events like the recent Bravo pre congress party, the DouDoule Dance Camp and his own Sunshine coast Ritmo Caliente dancenight.

Traveling every year to many overseas Salsa events to Europe and the Americas he always comes back with a suitcase full of new and exciting music.

Through regular contact with his overseas DJ friends he keeps up to date with the latest salsa and Latin music trends

His aim is to get the dance floor burning and give all the dancers a great night out.

DJ Debelicious (QLD)

DJ Debelicious is the one of the very few female DJs in the Salsa scene, aptly nicknamed by one of her students, became a DJ by accident, known for her smooth style and definite music for the dancer, is carving herself a reputation and is now invited to DJ at National Latin Festival Events and also is invited be one of the DJ’s at the Malaysian World Latin Congress in May.
